Controversy Over a Concert: Former members of the Eagles band had a concert in 2004 to raise money for a U.S. senator. John Temple, who is a editor and publisher of the Rocky Mountain News, told his reporters to not go to the fundraising concerts. He didn't want his employees from making political donations. His staff members thought that their boss didn't trust them.
My Opinion: I think that you should attend events that may have a political purpose. I think that because as long as it doesn't affect the news story covering the event then it is acceptable.
Offensive Images: There was a cartoon that caused lots of controversy. The cartoon started at a Danish daily newspaper. The cartoon caused lots of riots and killing in Islam. The violent reaction caused many people to check out the cartoon.
My Opinion: I think that they shouldn't have published the cartoon because instead of letting people know what is happening in the world it seems they are attacking the Islamic community. Also it caused more riots to happen in the Islamic world.
Aaargh! Pirates! (and the Press): A band called The Ting Tings' had one of there albums leaked a month early which caused the sales of the album to not sell very well. This situation has been an issue for a long time. Despite causing people to be more aware of music, sites like Rolling Stone and Billboard use leaked music and can cause sales to suffer for albums. I think that there shouldn't have leaked music cause it can cause worse sales for the artist.
